Process for Personalized Psychological Services

We understand that obtaining mental health resources or seeking psychological evaluations can feel overwhelming. Our intake process ensures you receive the highest quality of care in a supportive and welcoming environment. The intake process consists of the following steps:

1. Initial Clinical Interview:

During your initial clinical interview, you will meet with one of our caring clinicians. This session allows us to get to know you or your child better, understand current concerns, and gather important background information. We will discuss your reasons for seeking an evaluation, explore your goals, and address any questions or concerns you may have. 
Our clinicians are skilled at creating a safe and comfortable space for open dialogue which allows for connection to needed services.

2. Testing Session:

A separate testing session will be scheduled if you are undergoing psychological testing or evaluation. This session lets us gather comprehensive information about your cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Our experienced professionals will administer standardized tests and assessments to understand your unique strengths and challenges. The testing process is conducted from a culturally competent perspective while taking into account all necessary and relevant information.  We strive to create an environment that promotes empowerment via advocacy and understanding.

3. Feedback Session:

After completing your testing, we will schedule or complete a feedback session to discuss the results. During this session, our team will provide a comprehensive overview of the evaluation findings and answer any questions you may have. We will help you understand the results, clarify diagnoses (if applicable), and provide recommendations for treatment, community services or further interventions.We aim to empower with knowledge and insights to assist with informed decisions as they relate to mental health, treatment options and services available.

New Client Forms

To streamline your visit and maximize our time together, we encourage new clients to complete the necessary forms before their initial appointment. These forms are designed to gather essential information about your medical history, previous evaluation or therapy experiences, current concerns, and any relevant background details.
Completing these forms in advance ensures that your first session focuses on discussing your specific needs and goals rather than administrative tasks. Our friendly staff will provide you with the required forms, which can be conveniently accessed online or provided to you in person.

Insurance Information

We accept a variety of insurance plans and our team is dedicated to helping you understand and maximize your insurance benefits. As part of our commitment to transparency, we will work closely with you to verify your coverage, explain your benefits, and provide the necessary documentation for reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life circumstances may require you to reschedule or cancel your appointment. We kindly request that you provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the appointment slot to another client needing services. Due to the current extended wait list, cancellations may result in evaluations being scheduled an additional several weeks in the future.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee or the referral being returned to the insurance provider. No calls and no shows will be automatically returned to the insurance provider and the initial deposit (if applicable) will not be refunded. Please note that we value your time and strive to maintain a timely and efficient schedule for all our clients. By adhering to our cancellation policy, you help us ensure that we can accommodate as many clients as possible and provide high-quality care.
